Health Awareness Program
conducted various health awareness camps for adolescent girls in Dharavi.
Distribution of Sanitary Pads
In 2021 in collaboration with the Centre for Transforming India we distributed sanitary pads in women and adolescent girls in Dharavi and created awareness about menstrual health and hygiene on world menstrual hygiene day.
Women's Legal Rights Awareness
We hosted workshops led by legal experts to educate local women on their fundamental rights and provided direct access to legal aid services. This empowered participants to resolve household and property disputes with confidence and professional support.
Sunday activities for childrens
Dharavi Foundation initiated “Activity Sundays”—a space where children can learn, express, and simply be children. From open theatre and movie screenings to singing, storytelling, reading, drawing, and painting—these sessions introduce children to experiences that go beyond textbooks.
Dharavi Foundation, in collaboration with Jatan Foundation for Inclusion, organized a series of free eye check-up camps across the community. more than 1,000 beneficiaries benefited from this initiative.
A Step Towards Better Sight
Ration Distribution Drive
Dharavi Foundation In Collaboration with Centre For Transforming India Step by Step, began identifying the most affected households across the community during Covid-19 Pandemic. Over the course of the initiative, dry ration kits containing essential food supplies were delivered to families in urgent need.
Dharavi Foundation, in collaboration with Centre for Transforming India, initiated a tab distribution drive to support underprivileged school children. Through this initiative, 200 students were provided with tablets, enabling them to attend online classes, access study material, and continue their education without disruption.
